Crafty Projects

I really love decorating for Valentines Day! I couldn't bring very many Vday decorations back to La Grande with me, so I made a few! I really love these hearts! Brock cut them for me and I love the way they look painted, I just need a bunch more to make it look better. But oh well!

Brock made this for me for out doorway area. I am really excited to make different signs for the various seasons of the year!

This "love one another" was a printable from a blog. I REALLY like it! I put the polka dot paper behind it and quickly put it in a junky frame. I can't wait to paint a different frame and get it in a better looking frame!
I finally got my chalkboard markers and it makes it so much easier to draw. Also, i love it because it doesn't come off unless you add a little water, so wyatt's little hands haven't smeared anything!

We only have a few things in Wyatt's room for decorations, poor guy. It's stacked with storage stuff!

Yum Yum Cinnamon Rolls! These turned out so good. I was actually really surprised! It was my first time doing rolls and cinnamon rolls alone(brock did help me quite a bit). We had a party that night and they went fast!

Telling Stories

I have to write a quick note about Wyatt and his recent changes. For about 4-5 days now Wyatt has really been a talker. I kind of blame Aunt Jande, because just a couple weeks ago she was saying "he's so quiet!" Now we hear a mouth full all the time, which isn't too abnormal, but now it's a full on story! He will look you straight in the eyes and go ON AND ON about something. Then he kindly waits for you to comment, and then quickly goes ON AND ON again. His little voice fluxuates and it really sounds like he is telling this long ol story about who knows what. It's really cute! Even if no one is around, he is letting his toys have it/talking to them(maybe not a good sign?!?!). He has also become very angry with his toys when they don't do something correct; like if he's pushing a toy around and it won't go because the wall is stopping it...he has started to yell at it and gets very upset. Wyatt is still learning to wave bye-bye(I know, a little late!), so when his hands start waving or opening/shutting he can't stop looking at his hand. He gives it a look, kinda like "wow, what's my hand doing." Really funny to watch! I am hoping to get some talking on video, but every time he sees a camera or a phone he wants that and stops talking. So guess we'll see!

The Latest

So I already haven't lived up to my New Years goal (to post weekly) BUT I feel like I have been doing a lot better! Last week was kind of a slow week. We enjoyed Brock having Martin Luther King day off and we had a fun gathering with friends that night. I will post some pictures of the yummy cinnomen rolls I made. They took ALL day, but it was really fun. Brock only has a lab on tuesday and no class thursday, and gets done at 3 on Monday and Wednesdays, so we left La Grande Wed around 3 and headed to Tri-Cities for Wyatt's one year check up. He did great getting all his shots! By the time the nurse left the exam room, I had Wyatt laughing. He cried for about 2 minutes, then we started playing peek-a-boo and the tears went away.
Weight: 24lbs 63percentile
Height: 31.5in 90percentile
Wyatt is pretty tall, but pretty skinny. He is still in 18 month clothes, with some 24month tops, and is wearing size 4 or 5 shoes.

Wyatt is getting more and more character these days. We were in town almost all day thursday and friday and boy was he all over the place. He squirms around until he gets out of my arms and to the ground. I am constantly trying to get him to hold my hand and walk, but he never wants to. He just wants to take off and be on his own. He also LOVES strangers. He will go to anyone, which kind of scares me when were are in town.

Staying at Grandma and Grandpa McGary's house is so fun for Wyatt. My mom has so many toys for him to explore. The first night we were there, grandma and grandpa weren't home, and wyatt kept searching every room. Just looking all around, not really playing with anything. When they did get home, he was so excited and stayed up til 10:45...something he hasn't done in......like ever! Throughout the weekend, he wouldn't leave my mom alone. He always wanted her to hold him, and sometimes chooses her over me!He loves Grandma and Grandma's house!!!

He plays SO WELL with his toys. He mainly loves taking his trucks/cars and pushing them all over, mainly on the walls. It's so cute to watch him! The past 2-3 weeks he has really got his groove on and dances to just about any kind of beat. We pump the music and he really gets low! It's so funny! Another new thing, everything is a phone. His sippy cup, the remote, the cards, his books, a stick, pretty much anything is up to his ear at one point.

Another new thing; Wyatt gives out the loudest/saddest cry whenever brock leaves. As brock gets ready for school in the morning, Wyatt will be RIGHT on his foot as he goes around the house. He starts moaning when he sees brock get his shoes on, and it's all downhill from there. When the door shuts, he instantly looks at me and gives me the saddest frown and then cry ever. It kind of breaks my heart to see it....he LOVES his daddy!

Wyatt and Paisley

I really wanted to get some pictures with Wyatt and Paisley. They are 3 months apart. They both go thru stages where one really likes the other. Right now, Wyatt really like Paisley, but is a lot more active and can't really controll his excitement. So he kind of bullies Paisley, and she doesn't like it!
This was Paisley's first photo shoot, so she wasn't too sure about everything. These are the only ones we got w/o tears. But I really like the picture above, kinda funny but cute too!

1 Year Pictures

We went back to Tri-Cities this weekend and I decided to have Wyatt's pictures taken. OF COURSE, the day before his pictures he goes and scratches his chin...hadn't had a scratch in a long time. So it was perfect timing on his part. Oh well...he still looks pretty darn cute to me!

He did so good taking the pictures. He sat just how the lady wanted him to and smiled every time, BUT it was just his fake little smile. We never got a really good big one.

Our little baby is growing up!

Playing In the Snow

We decided to venture out into the snow Saturday. We hadn't taken Wyatt out in it yet, so we headed out of town a few miles to the mountains. It was a lot of fun. We borrowed a little sled for Wyatt. Although he showed almost no emotion, he gave a few smiles that showed he was liking it.
Getting ready to go out in the snow.
Look at those cute little eyes! I love them.
This was about the only smile we got from him.

So funny, even when he tipped over he showed NO expression! Just chillin.
We had a great day playing in the snow. Today it snowed ALL day long. It has dumped about 1 foot so far and is forcasted to snow all week. I guess we'll be getting more chances to go out in it:)

Wyatt Turns ONE

So today is Wyatt's real birthday. We had just a small get together with some friends. He was able to have ice cream at this birthday party.
Sydney Shinsel, almost 2 yrs old. Wyatt just loves sydney. They do fight over toys a lot, but he always gets the biggest smile when he sees her...his first crush?? haha
He wasn't so sure about the ice cream. He had a few licks, but wasn't too thrilled.

Wyatt is such a great kid. He is a joy and has the best/prettiest (he's been called a "pretty boy" many times) little face. His smile can just melt your heart. His eyes tell his whole story. You can see a smile, frown, and angry face in them before the mood appears with his mouth.
Wyatt is in LOVE with trucks/cars. He has always loved anything with wheels, and now loves pushing around anything with wheels and makes this cute "vum vum" sound with his mouth. His trucks can go everywhere! He pushes them all over the walls, furniture, buckets, baskets, boxes, anything!
About one week ago Wyatt said his first word, other than mom and dad. It was "ba" which he's been saying for a long time, but now it means ball. Anything that has a circle shape is now "ba." I need to work with him on car or truck because although he likes playing with balls, his true love is wheels.
His blankie is another love! He completely melts when he is tired and sees his blankie. I am really lucky to have 3 that feel exactly the same and he loves them all. Around 10 months he went through a stage where he wouldn't leave his crib after naps without his blankie.
Lately, Wyatt and Brock have been playing a game. Brock holds Wyatt by the bed/couch and counts to 3. Wyatt loves this game, and by 2 he is laughing and at 3 he throws his head and arms back to land on the bed. It's amazing how much trust he has in his daddy. Brock said today, "he's like a little magnent" because he follows Brock all over the house!
Wyster, we love you more than words can explain. You light up our little home with your amazing smile. Your laughter is truly heaven sent and we know that you are a direct child of our Heavenly Father. We are thankful each day that He has trusted in ur to be your earthly parents.
You are our everything!
We'll love you forever, We'll like you for always. As long as you're living our baby you'll be:)

Return from Vacation

Does anyone else's house look like they just moved in, when really all we did was come back from Christmas Break?! haha. We were packed to the top on the way home. And we didn't even get it all in. Brock made me a cricut/craft organizer that is super cute and will be SO nice to have....someday when we have some room!
Yes, our poor fridge! We cleaned it out before we left. We were gone to a wedding and then to Tri-Cities for Christmas break, so it was about 1 month in all. Wyatt spent the first few hours home exploring the place again. It was like a whole new play land for him. (ps the milk is new! thanks joni!)
After it was all put away, it felt so good to be home! We had a great break and wyatt loves all the new toys he has. It actually entertains him really well, so far:)

HAPPY NEW YEAR AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY WYATT

Happy New Year everyone! WOW 2011 is really here! We had such a great 2010, I'm sad to see it go. We had a lot of firsts in 2010, with the arrival of Wyatt Brock on January 5th at 12:07am. Such a joy this little guy has been in our home this past year. I feel he has changed me into a better person and I am extremely excited for each step of the road I get to take with this little man. Since we go back to La Grande before his birthday, we celebrated with family on January 1st. He had such a great fake birthday, thanks so much everyone!!!! He loves his relatives(we'll find out just how much he misses ya'll when we return to our little apartment with no grandma's or cousins:( Going to be interesting!) Brock did such a great job with wyatt's cake!!! I love all the detail he added!

I told brock it looks like he's stuck with every birthday cake from here on out!

Kinda blurry(our camera has issues!) sorry!

I LOVE this picture. Wyatt's cheesy face is so funny! He hardly ever smiles, let alone looks, at the camera. He is totally his own person, doesn't give smiles or laughs out unless they are earned! And when they are earned, he gives ya a simpathy smile most of the time. Such a funny kid!

The cousins! He has so much fun when everyone is here! He normally follows either brayden or chandler around, and then one of the jenks girls brings him back. I love it! So much fun when they are all together:)
So many toys! THANKS everyone!

He liked the happy birthday song!

Loved the balloons, but mostly, THE CAKE!

People make fun of us, but we don't allow Wyatt to have much sugar. He was in heaven when he was allowed a piece of cake!!

We love our little WYSTER!!! He is the biggest blessing in our home. Thanks for all the PRECIOUS MOMENTS you give us wyatt. We love you!!
