Random Boy = Random Words

I haven't really wrote a lot about Wyatt talking, because he doesn't really talk a whole lot. But he CAN talk and totally does when HE wants to. (I tell you, this one gives patience a whole new meaning!) His list of constant words has grown and continues to grow, slowly. Almost daily I am shocked when he randomly utters some word he's never said, says it like it's nothing, then won't hardly say it again. Recent random words have been: helicopter (says copter), truck, couch (sounded more like ouch), door, I go, truck (tuck), and oh no. There are more, but I just am shocked when he says them, that I can't hardly remember what it was he said to report it to brock when he gets home.

There other day he had just woke up and I was asking if he was ready for breakfast. He went to the pantry, opened it and stood there and said "ow bou (how bout)....ummmm.....ow bou....ummmmmm.....this!" I had just got easter candy the day before and that's what he had picked up and wanted. It was so cute. For a while now he will open the fridge and say "ummmmmm......ummmmm...... this!" which is always milk. He loves milk and will drink it instead of a meal any day. We have cut out a sippy cups with meals because he will drink the milk and say "all done."

We're praying more words keep coming and that the communication gap will soon be gone! It isn't easy because he knows what he wants, but just can't ask for it. He eventually gets the point across by dragging me to whatever he wants. But on both ends, just using words to communicate would be so much easier!

Changes

Sorry, no pictures to put up yet. But I just wanted to document a few things.

Wow! Some big changes have occured in the past week and I am still in awe. Friday, March 16th both sets of parents, plus Scott Gibbons and Jeremy Gray, showed up to load all our stuff up. It went so fast. We had a few friends come help too, which went even faster. I was so nervous about this day. No matter how prepared you are to move, the morning of is always stressful with last minute things to finish. Brock left at 6am to take his finals and Wyatt slept til 8, so I had a lot of time to reflect and stress. And sure enough, I could feel the stress a lot and ended up in the bathroom for an hour (ugh!). I hadn't thrown up in the morning for a while, but I'm sure the stress of it all was showing its self. We were out of La Grande by 12:15pm. I really felt numb the whole time. I wasn't feel amazing, I was trying to eat and clean while everyone was moving my stuff, I was nervous about driving alone with wyatt to tri-cities, and I was worried about all those that came to help us move. I didn't think a lot about us never coming back, missing our friends, the memories in that little apartment, how wyatt had grown so much in la grande (he was there most of his first 2yrs). It took me about a day or two to really think about how much we will miss that place! We felt so welcome and at home in the La Grande 2nd ward, such GREAT people!

BUT....we moved in to an amazing home and I am so stinking blessed! (pray for us it doesn't sale!) I wake up every morning, even still, and I feel like we are vacationing somewhere. The space is wonderful. We have a playroom! Like the toys don't have to be stored in the living room, under wyatt's bed, or in his closet! We have a pantry in the kitchen, my food isn't in my living room closet anymore! We have a deep kitchen sink with a spicket that comes out and sprays, oh the simple joys. We have a spare bedroom for all my crafts, and soon to be a babies room! We have a bathroom and walk in closet attached to our bedroom, and a storage space! We have a garage to put our tubs and boxes in. A fenced in back yard (no grass, but wyatt loves dirt). Oh man, I seriously am just loving the space and little things about this house. I don't have to have things so cluttered anymore! I am not bragging in ANY way. Like I said, I am in awe. I feel so blessed to be here and thank Heavenly Father (and my great husband) for everything every day.

Brock went off to his first day of work today. Poor guy woke at midnight with a fever of 101. He tossed turned, took pills, ate, drank, and tossed some more all night. I don't think he slept at all. But he still got up and went to work this morning. He is excited to be providing for our family. I love that man so much!

from 3 to 4

The word is out! We are pregnant! YAY! I am 11 weeks along and due Oct 2nd. I think other than the day I found out, announcing it today has been about the only excitement about this pregnancy. Oh how I forgot the "joys" of being pregnant. Since I stay home with Wyatt all day, I feel like this pregnancy has been worse than Wyatt. I didn't really get sick with wyatt til about 4pm in the day. This one, I just started feeling decent in the mornings last week. From weeks 5-9 I was pretty miserable all day long. It was just that, miserable. Poor Wyatt watched more TV than ever, dishes went piled when brock couldn't do them, dinner was non-existant, fridge was empty, cereal became our go to meal, and the toilet became my friend. I have thrown up about twice as much with this pregnancy, so far, as I did with wyatt. Currently, I am feeling good in the mornings til around 12, then I start to struggle and by 4:30pm I am done with the day. By 8pm I am in bed or in lots of pain/bloating/gas. I am REALLY hoping it gets better, like lots better, in the next 2 weeks. Brock does SO MUCH around here right now. I don't think I've bathed or put Wyatt to bed for weeks, I'm so nervous when he goes to work next wednesday. Plus I have to keep my house in "show condition" at all times. Nights, our house is in anything BUT show condition!
Ok. Done with the complaining. We are super excited to add to our family. I have wanted another for a long time now, the Lord just knows what's best and has His own timing. I was so nervous Wyatt would be so old by the time another child came. He will be almost 3, and for that reason alone, I would love to have a boy. I want him to have a close brother. I would personally love a girl to doll up, but for my sons sake and for when they are older, I am hoping for a boy! Guess we shall see.

Mexi Night

We had a final party with our friends here in La Grande. We had everyone bring Mexican dishes. I made homemade refried beans, mexican rice, and chicken tosquitos that were amazing!! Others brought fresh salsa, cafe rio burritos with lots of toppings, chicken enchiladas and a mexican ice cream dessert. Holy cow, we all agreed this was TONS better than any restaurant we have ever been to. It was all so good!

PACKING FUN

All these boxes were in an organized stack, til Wyatt decided to play with them. This moving game is so much harder with a child. You find out how much stuff (aka CRAP) you have when you move and the children find out how exciting all the stuff is! Boxing up the toys was the worst. Toys never played with, all the sudden become the favorite toy when it gets boxed up and put away!
The bottome pic is so blurry, but I loved his face. I was working in the bathroom and peeked around the corner to find this.

Wyatt and Daddy doing the dishes. This has been happening a lot lately and I'm SO thankful to a helpful husband. He has been a life savor lately! For the past 3months Wyatt LOVES helping with dishes. He pulls the chair from the table and climbs right next to you. Frequently, as the cleaned dishes get put back in soapy water over and over again, I have to remind myself of this quote: Help me remember that little hands eager to help grow up all to quickly.

Shooting in the Mountains

These pictures are a little old. About mid February we drove just like 5mins away to the mountains so Brock could shoot his gun. Wyatt always loves shooting. His hand becomes his gun and he does a great gun noise! He goes around the house shooting everything. Mostly, he loves taking the extentions for the vacuum and opens the door and shoot stuff outisde. It's pretty cute, but we're still teaching him he can't shoot people. Have I mentioned how much this little guy is ALL BOY?!
