"I've been watchin you Dad aint that cool"

This morning Brock was getting ready for school and Wyatt kept making this funny face at me. I couldn't believe it, but it looked exactly like a face Brock does every now and then. I hurried and took a picture to see how much they really do look alike, WOW, brock definetely has a Mini-Me! It wasn't like Brock had been practicing with Wyatt trying to get him to do this face, so it made me realize that he really does watch and learn. Sometimes I work with Wyatt on sounds, colors, animals, pictures, etc and I feel like I'm getting no where. He isn't interested in ANYTHING where he has to sit. He sit and look at books, but only likes turning the pages and mainly likes looking on his own. He isn't talking much, only says Mom and Dad and sometimes Ball and Doggy (he says doggy in his own way though, I don't even know, kinda like daeeee). About a month ago he would fold his arms (just randomly started doing it) for prayers, but now he openly rebels and throws fits (sometimes) when we try to get him to fold his arms. There are those little moments though, where he does something, like this picture, where I realize he really is watching us. Seems like parenthood kind of hit me hard this morning, I have a big responsibility to be a good example to this little guy and to teach him good things. All in all, he's a pretty darn C.U.T.E little guy!

L.O.V.E

Wyatt did start doing fake laughs yesterday. We had home teachers over and he would stand in the middle of us and do a fake laugh, it was so cute. After they left, we would say "wyatt can you laugh?" and he would give us his fake little laugh. So adorable!

First day of school

First, I can't believe how big Wyatt is getting. I really do tell Brock, "I think he grew last night!" He is starting to grow and learn and we're having so much fun with it. Thursdays brock doesn't have classes, so I set up my visiting teaching for Thursdays. Well, Brock had set up a test but said he would just take Wyatt with him. It was so cute! I was nervous about brock being able to focus on the test and watch our child, but Brock said he did great. They gave him a football to play with. I'm sure Wyatt was in heaven!

A fun trip back home

YAY! Wyatt finally was able to see his little girlfriend Raegan Strong. Karie was up visiting her family at the same time we were, so we were able to get together for a little bit. Raegan is so darn cute and growing so big. We hadn't seen them for a long time, prob like 4-5months. Raegan enjoyed stealing wyatt's toys and he didn't really seem to care, until she tried taking his cars. :) Trying to get a picture of two busy little ones is hard!
I love Wyatt's face in this picture! haha. We went swimming at the Woodwards pool with a group and wyatt LOVED it! He continually pushes away from me and wants to just swim on his own. Poor little brooklyn didn't get to swim because of her cast, so Wyatt kept her company for a little bit (mainly stealing her crackers).
Oh how this child L.O.V.E.S the out doors. He screams any time someone would even head to the utility room in my moms house (it leads to the outside door). At first he was a little scared of the tramp, which is very abnormal for him. I haven't seen this child scared of hardly anything. He did warm up to it and loved trying to jump on it by the end of the weekend.

Happy birthday to Paisley! She was all dolled up for her birthday party. Wyatt and Pais are starting to get along great. She is walking now and can stand her ground against Wyatt. She has a voice that tells Wyatt she is in command (poor guy gets bossed around by all the little women in his life; he is so easy going will allow them to take whatever toy he has). It's so cute to see them together. Happy birthday Paisley!

Around the House

Wyatt has been really into reading books lately, BUT, in true Wyatt character, he likes to do it by himself. He is getting better about letting me read to him, but he mainly just likes pointing at pictures and turning the pages. He actually sat still for 15minutes the other day while we looked at/read 3 different books. I will ask, "where's your book?" and he will go to his room and always gets this book. These pictures he had brought the book out by himself while I was doing dishes and it was so cute to see him, talking like crazy, by himself.

Wyatt was almost lucky enough to go with daddy to school. Brock was going to study and like always Wyatt was having a hard time. Wyatt thought it was so cool to be in this bag! I keep looking at him, almost daily, thinking he is getting so big. His hair is getting pretty long and he looks just like a little toddler. He turned 15months yesterday. WOW. I can't believe it. I am so blessed to stay home with him and enjoy all these tender moments. This child is super active, but each day there are always those little moments that make it all worth it. He has started to lay his head down on my shoulder, but for like 5 seconds. He isn't a cuddler, but those few moments I hope to hold on to and always remember.
