Wyatt turns FIVE!

My big boy moved on to CTR 4 and was so excited. His teacher is Sherri Salisbury. He got a CTR ring the first sunday and wore it for 2 weeks straight!
I had a few false alarms of contractions and I just kept saying I didn't want anything before Wyatt's birthday. He was so excited for it. He had been asking since the previous august to go to the bounce house (get air) for his party. We had just a small party for him at McGary house. It was pretty low key, like always, since the holidays had just got done. He did love the dirt bike guys on the cupcakes.
We took Chandler and Brayden to Get Air. He loved it! I packed each of them a snack bag with some goodies. I was SO done being pregnant by this point so we just went straight in and back home.
I can't believe he is 5! I've started realizing how much a kid he is, instead of a young child. He understands everything and is VERY observant. He learns so much just by watching. Wyatt LOVES going on tractor rides with grandpa. He will be in the house and the minute he hears a tractor start up, he jets out the door to figure out what's going on. He makes the BEST motorcycle noises with his mouth. I don't know how he does it, I think he has an endless supply of saliva because he makes the noises all day long. Wyatt wants to be a motorcycle racer when he grows up. He loves watching the super cross races on the computer with daddy on saturday nights, and often gets to stay up late to do so. He dislikes collared shirts and battles me to even wear jeans to preschool. He takes his daddy's side on anything going on. I think he went from my little buddy to his daddy's sidekick.
We love you SO MUCH wyatt. I am so proud of the little guy he is, and can't ever imagine a day without him. He's the best big brother and even though they fight 60% of the time, brynlie adores him and copies everything he does.

More December

Brynlie's would sit next to me and randomly put her hand on my stomach and just rest it there. It was so cute. The first time she felt and saw it move it really scared her. I wish I had a video of it. Her eyes got so big and she looked straight up at me. On time reading a book she set her arm on my stomach like the arm rest of a couch. haha.
We taught the last preschool before Christmas break. It was a rough on me because my feet were swelling so much by then. But the kids had so much fun. I really want to be a preschool or kinder teacher later in life. It really is so fun for me.
This is the last pregnant picture I have. It was a few days before Christmas. I was feeling HUGE. I actually wasn't just feeling huge, I was huge. I will never forget the comments I got every Sunday at church. haha. Some will be forever engraved in my head of "WOW, you are definitely due any day!"
The day after Christmas I went into nesting mode and HAD to get everything taken down. It wasn't working to have wyatt and brynlie having separate beds in one room, so we got the other part of the bunk from Gibbons and got their beds all set up. It was a HUGE mess on December 26th. But it felt good to get things ready for the baby coming.

Christmas Day

We had some extra decorations and Brock had the great idea of putting them in the kids' room. To say they loved it is an understatement. They wanted these lights on every night! It was just so magical going into their rooms after they were asleep to turn them off, and seeing them asleep. Made the Christmas season even that much better.
Christmas Eve we went to Gibbons for the annual dinner (they do a big fancy christmas eve dinner and then just have a huge buffet table all day long on Christmas). We had the kids kind of act out the Nativity. There was more crying than anything, but that's expected with so many young ones!
Christmas morning! Brock and I woke up about 6 thinking there was no way the kids would be up for a while. I did NOT want to rush my Christmas morning to run to see extended family. Well the kids must have been too excited, they woke up at 6:30, which is very abnormal. They are usually up around 7:30-8:00. Mom and Dad hardly had time to get anything ready for the kids to wake up! Daddy went in and kept the kids in their room while mommy got ready. We had our little talk about our manger and we remembered all the acts of service we did for others, and for one another. Then we wrapped the baby and layed him in the manger. This was a very spiritual experience for me. I was so excited for the kids to go see their gifts, but it was amazing to take a moment and remember Christ.
Wyatt hadn't really narrowed it down on something he wanted, beside a 4-wheeler. So Santa had to be creative. He loved the 360 bike and the bounce on ball. From mom and dad Wyatt loved his bow and arrow. He quickly learned how to shoot it really good, and quickly got pushed out the door to shoot it. Wyatt also got some legos and was so excited to put them together. We found out the directions are a little hard for him.
Brynlie just wanted candy but was excited to see toys too. She loved the drawing easel and sticker book the most. From mom and dad Brynlie loved the baby with a bottle. She carried that around all day.
It was McGary year for Christmas day, but we ran up to Gibbons for exchange of gifts and then went to lunch at McGarys. It was definitely not Christmas weather. It was bright and sunny all day.
Brock and I didn't do Christmas for each other. It was actually very depressing. Not a single thing. We felt like with the baby coming it was enough excitement. Luckily we got a nice blanket from his mom, some money and food storage. And my parents did a trip to Great Wolfe Lodge for our family.
All in all it was an amazing day of feeling blessed. I can't imagine holidays without my little family and my extended family. I was huge on Christmas. And very uncomfortable. So I did a lot of just sitting around and observing. It was amazing the amount of emotions I had as I just watched others.
