A Child's Prayer

Wyatt's breakfast prayer:
 "Dear father, bless the food. Bless daddy at work. Bless he come home right now and ride bikes with me. Bless mommy and daddy listen to me. Bless kasey not be sad her new house. For my house, bless daddy paint it good on the ladder. Christ, amen."

Wyatt hasn't been wanting to say prayers for the past month, so I loved that he wanted to this morning and all these wonderful things came out! :)

6 MONTHS

UPDATE: Brynlie went to her 6month appt yesterday (3/26) and her stats were:
27.6inch tall 96% and 18lbs 80%

Brynlie is 6months old today! Wow! In many ways I can't remember my life without her, but it seems like we were just bringing her home and commenting on how little she was. She is so big now!

-She likes to stand up in her exersaucer and can now reach to play with the toys
-She shakes and cries when watching us eat, until I get her food
-She started eating stage 2 (skipped stage 1) baby food this week: squash, carrots, sweet potatoes
-Loves sweet potatoes
-Eats 2 bowls of cereal 2x a day
-Went back to waking up 1-2x a night to eat (this started back up the last 2 weeks)
- Rolls over a lot more frequently now
-Finally started putting pressure on her feet when you try to get her to stand up on your lap
-Is a pretty lazy baby!
-Has been a lot more fussy the last 2 weeks, I'm blaming it on teeth coming
-Talks a lot. If we don't seem to be paying attention, she gets louder
-Has started to just want to be put down for naps, doesn't want to be rocked anymore
-Always has to play with my face or hold my hand while breast feeding
-Loves watching Wyatt play and now tries to grab his toys when he gets close enough
-Wears some 6month clothes, but mainly 9 months
-Loves her binki
-Figuring out how to grab her binki and put it in her mouth (successful about 60%)
-Has the biggest smile that reaches up to her eyes
-Gets called the cutest little baby frequently (ok so mostly by her mother)
-Gets lots of comments on how beautiful her eyes are!
-Still has dark and long hair (that is crazy without a little pony tail :)

And is smothered with kisses ALL day long by her mom! (and Grandma McGary tends to kiss her cheeks a lot too!)

 Wyatt is starting to try and play with Brynlie more and it's getting so fun!

Ugh, she might get away with murder someday, I give in to her all the time I just can't resist!

 Wyatt was WAY overdue for new shoes (size 11 I might add). We headed to Target and of course he HAD to have Cars shoes. I would have been the worst mother ever if I didn't get these, he was SO IN LOVE with them. When we got home he wore them the whole day, even during his nap and even with the tag/string still on (I didn't know if Brock was going to be ok with keeping them). For about a week straight he would wear them everywhere, even to nap. 

 Triple Play! For Valentines we went to Triple Play with Jason and Karyn. We got a family room and the kids had a blast. It was a quick one night thing, but it was perfect little get away. 

 Who let's their kids jump on the hotel beds?! 

Around the House

 (above) January 29th first night in 9month PJs

 February 6th first time in pigtails AND first night trying rice cereal. Cereal didn't go so good, she didn't like it. Her face was so funny! 

 February 7th: Chandler spends the night! Chandler is his best friend. Everything Chandler does, Wyatt wants to do. They have so much fun together!!! After this activity (below) "C" was no longer for "cat" it became "C is for Chandler" lol 

 LOVE these pictures after bath time. They will probably hate us when older!

Funnies

About a week ago Wyatt woke up in the middle of the night crying and saying his legs hurt. I knew it had to be growing pains because he had been eating the house down all week. He woke probably 5-6x that night. Then for the next few nights it became habit to just wake up and come into our room. He would always sleep in the next morning, one morning I WOKE HIM at 11am. It had been a really rough night for him, so he was tired. I finally decided if he wanted to wake up so much at night, then I wasn't going to let him sleep in. I woke him up at 7:30am (he normally wakes around 8:30am). It was so funny what he kept telling me:

"mommy I not wake up. I not strong yet. I need to rest a minute longer." He told me this over and over as I pulled him from bed. Then walking down the stairs he sat down and said "I can't walk, I not strong. I really need to go rest."  

It cracked me up! I had no idea where he even knew "rest" until yesterday I heard brock tell him "daddy's going to lay down and rest for a minute." 

Another cute thing I don't want to forget:

instead of "hiccups" he calls them "pickups" 

"uh oh, I have the pickups." 

Every time he coughs he says:

"I throwin up. Hurry! I throwin up."

This one is my fault because he was sick about a month ago and threw up once. Every time he coughed I'd run and get a bowl and ask if he was throwing up. So now he says he's throwin up every time....hope it doesn't really happen because I never believe him anymore!
