Daddy's Boy

L.O.V.E
Aren't these two just exactly alike?! Throughout the day I am constantly seeing Brock in Wyatt. The facial expressions the most. Happy Father's Day Brock! We love you so much. You are truly an amazing father. Wyatt can be anywhere in the house and hear the door open and drop everything to see you come home. He loves to wrestle, play, read, and watch TV with you. You are truly his best buddy. You are such an amazing person, always helping others and so concerned about the well being of all around you. You cherish your family with all your heart. Your friends are important to you as well and Wyatt is learning, through you, how to be a good person to all her comes in contact with. Most of all. You are funny! We love the humor you bring to our home and laugh AT you sometimes :) We are so lucky to have the Priesthood in our home through you and love the Spirit you carry with you.
You are the B.E.S.T!
We love you.

Bumps, Bruises, and Cousins

(above) Wyatt took a little bit to adjust to our new house. We aren't used hard wood floors and wow, he slipped SO many times in the first week, even with his socks off! He wasn't used to stairs (which are not carpeted either), so going up and down the stairs brought about bruises on his legs. Also, we aren't used to our own back yard with a deck. There is no railing around the deck and it's about a 2 1/2 feet drop to the ground. Wyatt does very well with knowing where the edge is, until he gets playing with his trucks or pushing his toys around. I was watching him and could tell he was distracted and concentrating on the edge, I ran to grab him as he fell I got his leg, which pulled his head around and he hit his cheek on the edge of the stairs. Poor guy! He wasn't happy about this one. He has been a lot more careful since, but he still creeps a little too close to the edge at times and makes me nervous.
Wyatt's best friend is Chandler McGary! Chandler came over a couple days since we've moved here and Wyatt just loves it! This first picture was when wyatt had just woke and chandler had just got here. I love it though. They warmed up to each other in about 5 mins and were chasing each other around, literally running after each other constantly. They were laughing like crazy the whole time. I love when Wyatt is around chandler because he talks a lot and I'm hoping Wyatt will catch on by his example. I'm pretty sure Jason and Karyn are nervous by Wyatt's example though, Chandler follows him around and at times it equals trouble.

These 3 boys are so close in age but couldn't be more different. Each has their own personality and is so fun to be around. I'm so excited to see what their future has in store for them. They will, no doubt, be getting into some trouble together in the next couple of years.

Family Home Evening and other activities

We decided to go bowling for FHE last week. It was a quick game because Wyatt was all over the place. He wanted to go down the lane, play with the balls, climb the stairs, touch the bottons, etc. It was a fun time though, we realized we both have lost our touch (well, i never had the touch) and we did horribly. I think i was in the 80s and he in 90s, but that might be pushing it. Afterward we went to Carmichael hill and let Wyatt loose. It was great! Lots of green grass for him to run free. It was funny watching him learn the step hill, he would start down it, then gradually started running and then lost control and would fall down. He loved it though!

We went to Eppich's one night and all the kelly kids were swimming. It was FREEZING so I figured Wyatt wouldn't want to go. Kortneigh took this pic. Poor guy wanted to go swim and play with the kids so bad.
The kids quickly changed their minds and decided the hot tub was a better idea. Luckily, melissa kelly had some extra girly underwear that they lent him. I saved that picture for his personal journal;) He was so happy to be in the water with all the kids!

This and That...

Could Wyatt be any more like his daddy?! He is such a fearless child. He thinks he's way bigger than he is and doesn't realize situations where he could get hurt....hmm kinda like his daddy? :) He started getting pretty wild on his 4-wheeler the last couple weeks we were in La Grande. He looked like he was trying to do tricks on the 4-wheeler. He would put his head threw his legs...now I know what he watcheds with Brock on the computer while I'm gone!
He also is very independent and decided one day he doesn't want me to feed him anymore. So, for about a month now we have been patiently (key word!) been helping him feed himself. If I can distract him with a toy or something, I can feed him. But after about 5 bites he wants to do it.

Catching Up:Trip to Idaho

Back in mid May my little sister called saying her and mom were up and going to rexburg, Id. They had already left and as we were talking she was like  "you should jump in with us." So that's what I did. I was super nervous because Wyatt has been a handful lately, and he was a handful. Sleeping was pretty rough while we were there, but isn't wasnt as bad as I thought it was going to be. We stay with my Aunt Tami and he had fun playing with my cousins kids. The first night we stay in a hotel in boise, Id, which was the first time wyatt had staying in a hotel. Althought it was about 9:30pm, he was loving it! Exploring everything, laughing like crazy, and jumping all over everything! I was able to go back to rexburg and see how much it has changed, wow! I miss that place so much! The overall feeling of the town is amazing, and not to mention it's where Brock and I fell ini love:) I was at school while the outside of the temple was built and I even remember standing outside of class watching the Angel Moroni being put up, but it looks amazing now with all the landscaping done. I will be adding some more pictures later of us at the falls in Idaho Falls. It was so pretty there and we got some great pictures, but my camera was dead, so they are sarah's camera. Here are just a few of the trip.

Quick Updates

PHEW! What a week it has been. I really need to get some pictures on here of all the things that have been going on lately, but I just still don't have the time yet. We just got internet like an hour ago, and I'm really needing to get some things down before I forget them all!
  • Wyatt has funky teeth right now! He has 4 molars, 4 teeth in a row on the bottom, 2 front teeth, and then it skips a spot and he has 2 more. Weird looking mouth he has going on right now!
  • He is still lacking in vocabulary : mom, dad, dog, ball, and sometimes bird
  • For about the past month he makes a weird sound for kitty. In a really high pitched voice he goes "naw naw naw" -i think it's from my mom calling "kitty kitty kitty". You have to hear it, but it actually does sound similar! It's so cute.
  • He is back to refusing to fold his arms for prayer. He will bang his head around and throw a fit if you even say "ok time for prayer."
  • He has been SUPER cute with prayers though. Immediately after we say prayer, he says his own. In a hushed little voice he rambles for about 10 seconds and then when he is done he points to his food. He does this at least once a day. I guess he's repenting from throwing a fit while we say prayer! lol
  • He has always been a really quiet child, but the past week he is all mouth! He goes on and on and on. All day long. Pointing at everything and telling me a long story. He will go on about something, then pull me to a certain part of the house, and then laugh when we get there. Must be a funny joke to him.
  • His shoe size is 7. Yep, we are raising a Goliath!
  • Paints need to be size 24months for length, but poor guy is skinny and nothing stays around his waist! Has his daddy's problems already!
  • Taking TWO 2 hour naps a day and mommy LOVES them :)
  • FINALLY started copying us: blows kisses, does touch down with his arms, gives hugs (but doesn't squeeze yet), give kisses that turn into licks and/or a bite.
  • Started eating and LOVING grapes this week. He has been extremely anti fruit since January. I don't know what happen, but he refused to eat anything fruit, especially red! I have tried probably 100x and just keep hoping, and this week he did it! Now he loves grapes, hopefully we can get strawberries in him soon too :)
  • climbs up anything. He is a very determined little boy.
  • VERY adventerous, NOT afraid of anything (besides the hair cutting razor), and VERY active. Like constant activity!

Today's The Day

Things have been crazy for the past couple weeks, and I'm so sad I haven't been blogging about everything. I will have to catch up later, I woke up early today so I could make a little note of what is happening. We are moving to Richland....TODAY! Our original plans were to move on June 10th. Yesterday morning Brock and I were talking things thru and we figured out he only has one scheduled final, yesterday he did a final presentation and his 2 other Ag classes were done about a week ago. So that leaves his Bio final next thursday, with NOTHING from here to then. That means thursday-thursday we would be SO bored doing nothing. So yesterday around noon he came home and said let's do it, let's move TOMORROW! I am a planner, and I hadn't even started packing, let alone think about starting to pack. We are limited on space in the cars, so I (once again!) have to go through my things and pick and choose what is "essential." Also, we went home this past week for memorial day weekend. Sunday night around 2:00 am Wyatt started throwing up. Poor little guy. This is his first encounter with the flu and it was a bad one! He threw up 9x from 2-6am. So we booked it out of my parents house so no one else would get sick. Good thing we did too, because Brock got sick tuesday morning and me tuesday night. So, when Brock told me let's move tomorrow, I was still recovering from the night before when I had been throwing up. I was in NO condition to start packing. I hadn't even ate a full piece of bread yet! After a long nap yesterday afternoon I felt much better and started packing while he was in class from 2-5:30pm. Luckily, wyatt slept for 3 hours so I was able to get a lot accomplished. When little Y did wake, he had the most confused look on his face, it was so cute. Like almost saying, "mom what are you doing with all our stuff?" After being sick for 2-3days and then starting to pack in a mad rush, the place was A MESS! While I was packing his room he found my tub of spices, the little stinker can unscrew the lids! UGH! He found my oregano and it was all over the floor! This go around of packing is definetely a lot harder with him. We packed up some toys last night and it's funny how all the sudden he wants to play with them. I put stuff in and he pulls it right back out. 2 steps forward 1 step back!

We are excited for our move. I kind of feel exhausted about the whole thing. We have moved so many times, met so many new people, new friends, new church wards, new surroundings....I used to welcome the change, but I think I'm getting numb to it all. I really love my friends here in La Grande. We have a lot of fun together, constantly doing something! I am super excited to be in a house this summer, with a back yard for Wyatt to play in! This morning at 5am I woke up to the sound of someone throwing up on their balcony upstairs....seriously, why on the balcony where everyone can hear you?! Ugh, so yes, I will be happy to get out of apartments for a while. But I will miss my little home here. It is so cozy and just really feels like home. That is prob. the hardest thing, moving "home" and making it really feel like it is. I don't feel like this Richland place will feel like that because we are using all of her stuff:couches, beds, table, kitchen, etc. Looking outside to a rainy day also depressed moving a little bit :) But we are excited to get back closer to family and enjoy the summer where it's WARM!!!
