Hard Working Man

2 bottles water, 1 gaterade, 1 yogurt, 1 diced peaches, 1 apple sauce, 1 banana, 1 bag trail mix, 2piece banana bread, 2 chewy bars, 1 fruit lather, 1 pkg dried apples, 1 bag ritz crackers & cheese nips & wheat thins & vanilla waffers & ABC crackers & chips ahoy cookies. Missing: 2 PB&J sandwiches and 1 cheese sitck. WHEW!

This is what brock's lunch looks like every day. Can you tell how we go through the food so fast?! He doesn't eat ALL this every day, but pretty darn close! I am constantly buying crackers/snacks and making muffins or breads for his lunches. At times, I wish he wasn't such a big eater! This past week has been especially trying for us as he was put on night shift working the disc.  He has to be there at 5pm and has been getting home around 4-4:30am. It is difficult because he sleeps til about noon, which means we have to be quiet. He is awake for about 2 hrs, then gets another 2 hr nap before he leavs around 4:15pm. Last night was his last night of that, we hope! They have HUNDREDS of acres to disc, so he will continue to be discing all day long, but we're hoping its day shift this next week! He does have GPS and is in a very nice tractor, so he doesn't mind that part!

I hope I don't jinx myself by writing this! Wyatt started climbing out of his crib last week. It was seriously all the sudden! I spent the night at my moms,which we hadn't done for a while. So he screamed like crazy when I layed him down, which never happens. I went up there 5mins later and he was straddling the side of the crib! Scared me so bad. He slept with me that night until I could put him in his crib undetected. I thought it was fluke thing, but nope. He kept climbing out when we got home too. Withing 2 days he was climbing out without even making any noise when he woke. So we put his mattress on the floor Monday (5days ago) and it went like normal. He wanted out, slept by the door for his naps, and cried for the first 5-10mins after we'd shut the door. That night I tried 3times to put him on his bed and shut the door, but I'm so used to him never crying that I couldn't handle much more than 5mins. So he fell asleep on my bed and then I transfered him. He slept all night til Brock got home from work at 4:30am and saw he was half off his bed. He moved him fully on and that woke him up. He wouldn't go back to sleep so I was up with him. Not fun. He took a nap later on the bed and it's been uphill since. He really has done great. Last night I read him 2 books while he layed on his bed and then I walked out without him even making a peep or trying to move. Then he slept til 8am!! WOOT WOOT! He has been getting up around 5-6am every morning this past week, so 8 was amazing! I'm so proud of him! Our house is SO loud with wooden floors and old doors, so when I shut that door, there's no opening it to sneak in and check on him. Which kind of scares me a bit, but we've made sure there isn't anything he can harm himself with. He only has books in his room, so if he doesn't want to go to sleep, he can look at a book. YAY, now we don't have to move a crib back to La Grande, just a tiny little mattress!

Little Boy to Big Boy

We have had so many people tell us Wyatt's curls are so cute, and they are when we actually tame them down a bit, but on an every day basis, they are hard to keep under control. He hates me touching his head, so it was a fight every time trying to put gel in. So we buzzed it off! Just like that he looked a whole year older. I was really sad for the first couple of days, but it is a ton easier to deal with now. Look at the little mop of hair!

I forgot what it looked like til I saw this mud picture. WOW. Below he is totally cheesing it, but you get the idea of his new cut. Looks like a little boy. Brock says he new cut makes it feel easier to wrestle with him and just makes him want to play with  him more. Says we got rid of the "pretty boy" look. Which is true, he looks more like a little rough and tough boy.

We went the the motorcycle races at Horn Rapids last saturday. It was so fun. We live so close and Derek Gibbons was racing so we headed there after brock got home from work. Wyatt wanted to wander around, so hard keeping track of him, but it was fun and we all loved watching. Lucky for me, Brock said he didn't miss it at all! :)

Staying Busy

I got this little coffee table at a thrift store and have been redoing it. It has taken me SO much more work than I planned. There was fermika on the top and it was pealing off in some places, so I figured I'd just strip it all off. WOW was that a harder project than I thought! I was doing this project as cheap as possible, so the only tool I had was the back side of a hammer....very small and not great at pealing up that fermika. I chipped away at it every day for a couple hours for 4 days....then my lovely hubby comes out one night and in 5 minutes finishes the whole thing with his knife. lol. I have painted it white and am in the touching up phase, soon to be distressed and then put up for sale. I love it, but we don't have room and I was just trying my hand at redoing furniture.

I got this frame at the thrift store as well and painted it gray to match my bedding (looking black in top picture,but just the letters are). I like it, just not loving it yet, so I might change it up a bit.....and might not too since we move in a month!

First off, ignore the mess. It was Sunday morning and we were scrambling to get out the door! I made this skirt with my mom, THANKS MOM! It is SO simple, but my very first skirt and I love it! I know it's so plain, but I am just really proud of myself. I bet if I wore a sign saying "I made this for $5" then ppl would think it's cuter...but I can't do that. I just think it over and over in my head and I love it, so that's all that matters! It's kind of hard to see, it's gray with white little polka dots. Jessica Perkins also helped me by sending me a pattern and helping me figure out how to do it, THANKS!

LOVERS day

 WOW! Who are those two in this picture?! I can't believe the difference in appearance and looking back we were such different people then! We celebrated our 4 year anniversary this year and I can't believe it's been that long. I feel like the little girl that got married 4 years ago is completely gone, but I wouldn't change a thing today if I could. We hadn't planned on celebrating our anniversary because finding a sitter in a brand new place is difficult, especially since we didn't have much time because of Brock's work schedule. BUT we did find some friends and we enjoyed a nice, quiet dinner at Bob's. We loved the food! It was the first date we'd had since March....so it was a MUCH needed date!

 Here is a picture of our one year anniversary! You can see Brock's walking boot from his accident. I don't miss those days!

 And now the current. I think the angle is funny or something, we aren't really this fat (at least I hope not!) We added little Y to our family and we are so lucky to have him. He has changed both of us so much, but only to make us better people as we take on the role of "mom" and "dad." It is trying at times, he is such a BUSY little guy. But we love him and are such a blessed little family!

 More pictures from Priest Lake. Wyatt loved going in the canoe with brock, I tell ya, this kid isn't scared of anything. One day we were playinng games and all the other kids were gone or napping so he was pretty bored. I kept an eye on him but all the sudden Jande was like, uh Emily, he's on the neighbors deck (which is up a long thing of stairs). I ran over there and couldn't figure out how he got up there. The bottom of the stairs were kind of tucked away. He loves adventure!

 Wyatt did start missing his toys! We took this bag to church so we had a few toys in it. I caught him in the room one day playing on his little lab top.

Since the weather was pretty junky this year people took to exploring. We went to a new waterfall and then tuesday some went to a natural waterslide. Brock tagged along with these teenagers and said they had lots of fun. The hike was the best part he said. They had to build a rock bridge to cross a little river and then walk threw a different river. Said it was pretty intense but fun. The slide is hard to see, and we didn't get the real feeling of it through pictures (is what I'm told). The water was going really fast they said and was extremely cold. On the hike they saw ice crystals on the ground, brrrrrr! Once they got to the slide, they saw others there and one guy said "I'd have to be drunk to go down that." LOL. In order to stop yourself and not go off the little cliff you had to get to the side, hit the log, or grab the rope (which is a last resort). So of course my daring husband wants to go first. He said he got a little nervous when Chad and Kade both couldn't stop him, but he hit the log and was fine. They all had fun, but came back with lots of bruises. Kaitlan even lost her shoes in the river they had to cross! Pretty crazy adventure.



Priest Lake Idaho

We went to the cabin for the Eppich reunion July 23rd - 26th and had a great time. It was a lot of work getting everything prepared, but always so fun to see family and I LOVE the cabin! The weather wasn't lovable though, it was hot saturday and sunday, but then overcast and stormy the rest of the time :( It was so fun for Wyatt to play with other kids! I thought I'd have to be running after him all day, but it was great, he didn't venture out on the dock much and hardly ever wanted to even touch the water. He did go in with brock and actually really liked it. I wasn't prepared for him to want to get in the water, thus the picture with the blown up diaper! That thing was HUGE! We played a lot of games and enjoyed catching up with cousins. Brock brought his bike up, and planned on doing some major mountain biking, but decided it wasn't too smart to go alone (thank heavens!) and just ventured out a few times. The boys went golfing and brock and chad had fun with the canoe. The water was FAR too cold for me to get in. Normally, I don't mind it. But WOW, this year there was ice chunks floating (not really but there could've been!). It was the only vacation we will get this summer, and this is the first year brock was able to come (besides the yr with his broken foot) so we were super happy to have some relaxation and family time!
