Trick Or Treat

This year was the first year I got a taste of what my Birthdays will be like til my kids are gone. My birthday was kinda pushed aside because of the Halloween events. I was so excited to take Wyatt to the Trunk or Treat at the church. We had tried his costume on a few days before Halloween, and he cried and pulled on it til we took it off. He just hated it. When Monday came we did birthday stuff in the morning before brock left for classes (he got me a new set of plates/bowls/cups...YAY!), Wyatt and I just watched a movie and relaxed. It was verry cold and rainy outside, so we didn't do much. Around 3pm we decided to get outta the house and we went for a drive. We went to Union and Cove, which are tiny little towns about 20mins from La Grande. It was fun and pretty. We came home thinking we had about 45mins until the chile feed at the church, but realized the clock in the car was wrong and we were 5mins late! UGH! I still had to make a salad, get ready, get Y ready, take pictures, and get the candy together. We were able to do it all in about 7 mins and we were out the door. Since we were so rushed Wyatt didn't have time to complain, and once we were at the church he was in heaven running around with all the other kids. He actually did great trunk or treating too. He had his own little bucket thing and he would just go right up to whoever had candy and grab one and put it in his bag. I didnt think he would want to because he still doesn't like candy. I think what prompted him to keep going was the suckers he got. It was a VERY cold night, so we got home around 7:15 and dumped out his candy for him to see. He surprised us in wanting it all. He immediately tore open a sucker, wanted another one open, and cried when I moved the candy to a high place. We took his sucker away about 1/2 gone and replaced it with some dinner, which he actually didn't mind. That was it for the candy eating. The next day after his nap we let him have another little sucker, but that only got about 1/2 gone before we took it away too....lol I know mean parents. But he didn't really mind and he was getting everything sticky! :)
I don't know how brock got wyatt to stand still and smile...but I'm glad he did!

Cade Kissler and Wyatt. Cade put on his mask and Wyatt wouldn't take his eyes off of him. So funny.

Ok, I konw his costume looks tight. LOL. I got it for cheap and thought it was going to be too big, it's size 3T-4T !!!
He was loving this sucker! Normally this kid gets little amounts of sugar, so he was crazy that night. Like literally running around with his toys and throwing things all over.

You just need to arrange a birthweek instead of a birthday ;)

Also, Wyatt looks so cute in his costume!

My birthday isn't even on halloween and it has been pushed aside for YEARS! Our anniversary is the same way, oh well!

Wyatt looked so cute in his skeleton. Even though I tease you about not giving him candy I think it is awesome that he still won't eat it. It gets real annoying telling them no a hundred times a day because is all they want is candy.
